My sculpture stones are the result of a metamorphosis where new formations are uniquely coloured by the minerals present during the transformation. This process is known as dynamothermal metamorphism. Many honour soapstone for healing properties associated with openness, flexibility, communication, imagination, and change. While carving, I am deeply aware of the release of energy stored in the stons over millennia. My intuitive free-form sculptures are a co-creation process with these pieces of the mountain, during which my role is to help the stone find new form to express itself.
