Barbara listens to the spirit of the stone, and forms a friendship with it, helping to free it for all to see. Her stones invite you to hold and feel them, and they become part of your everyday life. They are very therapeutic, in addition to their intrinsic qualities.

Barbara is a creative instructor who motivates and engages with her students. She has a wealth of knowledge about techniques in different media. I always walk away from class feeling inspired and excited to create. I'd be interested in classes in the fall/winter/spring!

I am a newbie in the art world and felt very shy to take the pencil and start drawing. Barbara, with incredible genuine interest in your capacities (because she believes we are all artists in some way), made me super comfortable to express my creativity and skills, which I did not know I had! It is incredible to see the evolution of my drawings within a few weeks; from very small, light and hesitant to big, bold and confident! With all her knowledge and expertise, Barbara demystifies the 'arts' rules' I was so afraid to not to respect when I started (because there is no actual rules!)

I've taken a few of your courses...you've shown me new techniques in conte, acrylics and abstract. You inspire me to do more. Thank you. Hugs

I have watched your art grow over the years, and it never ceases to amaze me your courage to work in several mediums. Your drive, persistence and dedication to art, even when faced with major obstacles, is admirable. I love my two stone carvings.

I purchased one of your pictures that you donated to ArtBark Revelstoke Humane Society Fundraiser. One of the baubles for my granddaughter's room who lives in England so it took a long trip. Also your kindness and professionalism in helping us set up ArtBark 2019 and helping to make it a success.

I took Barbara's Drawing More Than a Stick Man class to help me with my art quilts, and it has. Before her class I was tracing pictures to make my patterns. Now I have the courage to draw them!

You have been amazing throughout the years of your art work. Still have every piece. Love my new one!! Keep going girl.
